Transformational Vinyasa & Orthopedic Yoga Level 1 Training

Be the Light Yoga Studio is excited to invite you to join us on September 22nd for the kickoff of our 3rd 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training, hosted by Kathleen Coffey founder of Be the Light Yoga Studio, and led by the renowned Michelle Fleming founder of Transformational Vinyasa Flow & Orthopedic Yoga Teacher Training. This teacher training is a personal journey to guide you to deepen your practice, build confidence, and learn to teach from your authentic self.

Michelle Fleming has been traveling between her beautiful Sanctuary on the Beach retreat center in Nicaragua and Be the Light Yoga Studio for teacher trainings and workshops. Kathleen founder of BTL, completed her 200HR with Michelle in 2015. Michelle is a E-RYT 500-hour Yoga Instructor with over 20 years’ experience training yoga teachers. She is also a Certified Yoga Therapist, Thai Bodyworker, Neuro Vascular pain specialist, and a Board-Certified Structural Integrator in the lineage of Ida Rolf. Her knowledge of the practice, the body, and wellness is like no other.

Our kick-off starts at Be the Light on Tuesday September 22nd 6:30pm we will meet every Tuesday in person at the studio with host Kathleen Coffey. The entire program in also online, this is a hybrid course. You have 32 modules and 165 lessons all online for you to make up any missed class time easily.

Kathleen Coffey is 200-HR Certified Yoga Instructor in Transformational Vinyasa Flow & Orthopedic Yoga, with continuing education 100HR for Yoga Therapy for brain disorders, substance abuse, anxiety, and depression, trauma informed as well certified in 100-HR Spine Alignment & care in yoga, with certifications in prenatal & yin yoga. She is the founder of Be the Light Yoga Studio leads the in-person weekly classes. Kathleen brings over 13 years massage therapy experience and is also a Reiki Master., Reiki Master. Kathleen is the Director and Founder of EmpowerHer Wellness Camp for middle school girls. A Chair yoga instructor for the East Boston Neighborhood Health Center.

Intensive: WHAT EVERY YOGA TEACHER SHOULD KNOW

There is a week-long immersion available to give students the opportunity to disconnect from the stress of everyday life and delve deep into the practices.

Students will come away with:

● An ability to teach informed, safe and inspiring yoga classes to all levels and all degrees of experience in person, and online

● The unique yoga practice that is right for you specifically, at this moment in your life, and the knowledge to know how and when to modify that practice as appropriate

● The knowledge needed to keep every student in your classes safe, and always moving towards optimal balance and alignment even if they are working with a restriction or an injury

● An understanding of both the physical anatomy as well as the more subtle energetic one

● A functional perspective of how the joints move, take stress and are to be aligned in regards to yoga; and the ability to feel that in your body, and see it in your students

● An in-depth understanding of the often misunderstood “Fascia” of the body, and how it relates to yoga and orthopedics

● The confidence to get out there and teach wherever and in whatever way you should choose to

200-hour module

● $500 deposit secures your spot and is deducted from your tuition balance

● $3,600 tuition ($3,200 if deposit has been paid) due by September 5thth, 2026
